CMR Live in the Clinic

Experience live CMR scanning. See essential examination protocols while observing live MRI scans. Work in small groups on evaluation workstations and scanner in this hands-on course. If you choose, you can even try your first hands-on session at a workstation.

Inflammatory heart disease (online)

CMR offers a unique, non-invasive approach to diagnosing and assessing myocardial and pericardial diseases.

This course covers key indications, scan protocols, fundamental evaluation techniques, and interpretation of findings through case studies.

Next course date - Inflammatory Diseases:

November 17, 2026 (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Coronary heart diseases (online)

Learn the clinical application of cardiac MRI in coronary artery disease – from theoretical foundations to practical case interpretation.

In the first part of the course, you will receive a concise overview of visual and quantitative approaches to stress perfusion imaging, including typical pitfalls in image acquisition and interpretation, presented through compact lectures and case demonstrations.

In the second part, you will independently analyze 15 cases in CMR-ORBIT. Depending on the selected course format, you will receive automated feedback, participate in a group discussion, or take part in an individual case review session with an experienced Level III reader.

  • Online course with hands-on experience based on 15 clinical cases.
  • The discussed cases may be used for your logbook documentation.
  • Certificate of completion upon successful participation.

Heart valve disease

Heart valve disease is the domain of echocardiography, but cardiovascular MRI can provide crucial additional information.

In cardiovascular MRI non-invasive hemodynamics can be displayed three-dimensional and over time by 4D flow. This technique is becoming increasingly important in clinical routine in congenital and acquired heart defects. Besides visualization of hemodynamics, quantitative parameters can be evaluated. At the end of this course you will have mastered the basic principles of 4D flow measurement and analysis.

Special course: Innovative Techniques in CMR

Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance offers the chance to get new insights regarding myocardial tissue differentiation and noninvasive hemodynamics. New innovative quantitative techniques are entering the field.

This course will offer an introduction towards 4D-flow, parametric mapping and assessment of myocardial deformation using strain imaging based on cine images. Experienced clinicians and scientist will introduce basic technical aspects and explain the current role in CMR. Furthermore, case based discussion will take place.

We are looking forward to share our current knowledge with you.

The course takes place online (Microsoft Teams) on two evenings.
