Prof. Dr. Jeanette Schulz-Menger is an internationally recognized leader in cardiac MRI. With more than 25 years of experience, she has continuously advanced the field through scientific innovation, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to education and training. Knowledge transfer and the development of forward-looking, high-quality educational content are central to her professional mission.
She directs the Cardiac MRI Center at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin as well as at Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch, and has played a pivotal role in shaping modern cardiovascular imaging through her research, clinical expertise, and international leadership.
Her scientific work focuses on inflammatory heart disease, cardiomyopathies, systemic diseases with cardiac involvement, and data-science–driven quality assurance in cardiac MRI. She served as President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and was awarded the SCMR Gold Medal. In addition, she holds the distinctions MSCMR (Master), FSMRM, and FESC, and has been a key contributor to ESC clinical practice guidelines.
At the Circle Institute, she stands for scientifically rigorous, patient-centered, and clinically relevant continuing medical education at the highest international level.

Annette Köhler

Annette Köhler is the Managing Director of Circle Institute GmbH and brings many years of experience in the organization of medical continuing education programs. She possesses extensive expertise in the development and implementation of complex course concepts.
At the Circle Institute, she oversees the planning and execution of hands-on training formats and ensures seamless organizational processes.
Through structured workflows and consistently high quality standards, she makes a substantial contribution to the excellence and reliability of the Institute’s educational programs.

Dr. Yashraj Bhoyroo
Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch, Cardiology
Dr. med. Yashraj Bhoyroo is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and cardiology with a particular focus on cardiac MRI. At Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch, he integrates advanced cardiovascular imaging techniques into routine clinical practice, ensuring high diagnostic precision and patient-centered care.
He is Level III certified in cardiac MRI. His doctoral research at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin focused on the MRI-based quantification of pleural and pericardial effusions. His broader clinical expertise includes cardiac CT, comprehensive echocardiography including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and interdisciplinary diagnostic strategies.
At the Circle Institute, he is actively engaged in medical education, with a special emphasis on the safe, structured, and efficient application of complex cardiovascular imaging modalities.

Dr. Edyta Blaszczyk

Dr. med. Edyta Blaszczyk is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and cardiology with a scientific focus on cardiac MRI.
She practices at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where she specializes in the non-invasive diagnosis of complex inherited and secondary cardiac diseases. In addition, she is certified in genetic counseling in accordance with the German Genetic Diagnostics Act.
She is Level III certified in cardiac MRI and the author of numerous scientific publications focusing on the evidence-based application of modern imaging techniques in clinical cardiology.
At the Circle Institute, she contributes to the supervision of clinical training and the structured teaching of advanced diagnostic competencies.

Elias Daud

Dr. med. Elias Daud is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and cardiology with a particular focus on cardiac MRI. He is clinically active at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and closely involved in comprehensive patient care.
He is Level III certified in cardiac MRI and has a strong interest in structured physician training and advanced cardiovascular imaging techniques, including hemodynamic imaging.

Dr. Maximilian Fenski

Dr. med. Maximilian Fenski is a specialist in internal medicine and a cardiologist in advanced training. His clinical and scientific interests focus on cardiac MRI and electrophysiology. He completed a two-year research fellowship at the University of Oxford, further strengthening his academic profile.
He has a strong scientific background with publications in the field of cardiovascular imaging and is actively involved in the Cardiac MRI Working Group at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Dr. Jan Wolfgang Gröschel

Dr. med. Jan Wolfgang Gröschel is a cardiology resident and Level III-certified cardiac MRI practitioner. His clinical and scientific interests focus on cardiac MRI and the structured teaching of modern cardiovascular imaging techniques.
He is actively involved in medical education and research in the field of cardiovascular imaging.
At the Circle Institute, he supports hands-on training formats and contributes to cardiac MRI–focused courses and educational events.

Dr. Michelle Jacob

Dr. Michelle Jacob is a specialist in internal medicine with a focus on cardiology and a Level III–certified cardiac MRI practitioner. Her clinical and professional expertise centers on cardiovascular imaging and the structured, guideline-based application of modern diagnostic modalities.
In addition to her clinical expertice, she has extensive experience in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound diagnostics.
At the Circle Institute, Dr. Jacob contributes to practice-oriented continuing medical education and advanced training programs in cardiac MRI, actively integrating her clinical expertise into courses and hands-on teaching formats.

Prof. Dr. Florian von Knobelsdorff-Brenkenhoff

Prof. Dr. Fabian Mühlberg

Prof. Dr. med. Fabian Mühlberg is an experienced cardiologist with comprehensive expertise in clinical cardiovascular medicine and advanced imaging. As Senior Attending Physician in Cardiology and Nephrology and W3 Professor of Cardiology at MSB Medical School Berlin, he combines high-level clinical care with academic leadership.
His clinical focus encompasses the management of complex cardiovascular diseases, heart failure therapy, and both invasive and non-invasive diagnostics, including state-of-the-art imaging techniques. A particular emphasis of his work lies in cardio-oncology, both in clinical practice and research.

PD Dr. Sarah Nordmeyer

PD Dr. Sarah Nordmeyer is a pediatrician specializing in pediatric cardiology. She currently works in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at University Hospital Tübingen.
Her clinical and scientific focus centers on cardiac MRI in congenital heart disease and myocarditis in children and adolescents, including expertise in 4D flow MRI. Alongside her research activities, she is strongly committed to medical education and structured training.
At the Circle Institute, she serves as a lecturer and contributes to specialized training programs in congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiac imaging.

PD Dr. Alexander Schulz

PD Dr. Alexander Schulz is a cardiologist and expert in multimodal cardiovascular imaging. He currently works as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. His work focuses on the integration of advanced cardiac MRI techniques into clinical decision-making and patient care. He is Level III certified in cardiac MRI and brings extensive experience in transthoracic echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiovascular MRI across clinical practice, research, and teaching.

Dr. Ralf-Felix Trauzeddel

Dr. med. Ralf-Felix Trauzeddel is a senior physician in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine with a strong scientific focus on cardiac MRI. His expertise particularly encompasses hemodynamic assessment and advanced 4D flow MRI techniques.
He has extensive experience in cardiovascular MRI and is the author of numerous scientific publications. His doctoral thesis investigated blood flow patterns following surgical aortic valve replacement using MRI, reflecting his longstanding interest in translational hemodynamic imaging.
At the Circle Institute, he serves as a lecturer and scientific expert, contributing his specialized knowledge to advanced training programs in cardiovascular imaging.

Dr. Leonora Zange

Dr. med. Leonora Zange is a cardiologist with a focus on non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. She is Level III certified in cardiac MRI and has extensive experience in the structured, guideline-based diagnostic evaluation of cardiovascular diseases.
Her clinical expertise is complemented by scientific work and publications that reflect her evidence-based and patient-centered approach to imaging.
At the Circle Institute, she is actively involved in physician continuing education and contributes to the teaching of modern imaging techniques with a strong emphasis on clinical applicability and diagnostic precision.

Julien Leske

Julien Leske is a freelance software developer and the lead developer behind CMR-ORBIT, Circle Institute’s web-based platform for the structured analysis of cardiac MRI examinations.
He combines advanced technical expertise with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and designed CMR-ORBIT as an interactive environment for case-based learning and structured reporting. The platform guides users through standardized workflows, intuitive case visualization, and didactically optimized analysis pathways, thereby making a significant contribution to digital medical education and quality assurance in cardiac imaging.
At the Circle Institute, he is responsible for product development, technical strategy, and the continuous evolution of the Institute’s digital learning infrastructure.
Our courses are taught by highly qualified cardiologists and radiologists with many years of expertise in cardiac MRI. In collaboration with the Cardiac MRI Working Group and the Department of Radiology at Charité, a course concept has been developed that is closely aligned with clinical requirements and has been very well received by both cardiologists and radiologists. Small course groups allow for intensive supervision and individualized exchange.
