3. August 2025Launching CMR Orbit: A New Chapter in CMR Training
This month marks a major milestone for Circle Institute – one we’ve worked toward for the past three years. We’re proud to announce the launch of CMR Orbit, a first-of-its-kind, on-demand digital platform designed to take cardiac MRI training to the next level. But before we dive into what makes CMR Orbit special, let us take a brief look back.
The Mission Behind Circle Institute
Circle Institute was founded with a clear purpose: to make high-quality cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) training accessible to clinicians around the world and support CMR researchers. Since its inception, Circle Institute has been dedicated to equipping physicians with the skills and confidence to deliver clinical CMR services – from introductory fundamentals to expert-level interpretation.
Through in-person courses, hands-on workshops, and international collaborations, we’ve had the privilege to support hundreds of CMR learners. But in recent years, one message has become increasingly clear: there’s a growing need for flexible, case-based, real-world CMR training – available anytime and from anywhere.
Why CMR Orbit?
CMR Orbit is our response to the growing need for flexible, case-based CMR training. It bridges the gap between clinical reality and structured learning by providing real-world CMR cases—exactly as they would appear in daily practice. Each case is paired with expert-guided video walkthroughs to reinforce core concepts and sharpen your interpretative skills. While CMR Orbit is not intended to replace formal, comprehensive CMR training programs, it is designed to significantly enhance your learning journey. It offers a practical, immersive opportunity to deepen your understanding and refine your CMR reporting—at your own pace and on your own terms. But most importantly, CMR Orbit is built to empower learning across borders. Whether you’re a resident in a major academic hospital or a cardiologist in a remote setting with limited teaching access, Orbit brings the expertise of Level III CMR educators directly to you – wherever you are, whenever you’re ready.
What’s Next
We believe that training in cardiovascular imaging should never be limited by geography or time zones. With CMR Orbit, we aim to expand access, raise standards, and support the next generation of confident, capable CMR readers. This is just the beginning. We’re excited to grow this platform with your feedback, your questions, and your curiosity.
Explore CMR Orbit. Learn on your schedule. And join us in shaping the future of CMR education.
