CMR / cardiac MRI 1-3 month job shadowing

Job shadowing for visiting physicians (1 month or 3 months)

• First passive, then active participation in clinical examinations on five days a week with at least 20 patients per week.
• Clinical cases in the sense of the requested exclusion or confirmation of the following clinical problems
  • CHD: ischemia (perfusion, also with Adenosine)
  • CHD: infarction (acute and chronic infarctions)
  • Myocarditis (acute diagnostics and progression monitoring)
  • Aorta diseases (with 3D angiographies)
  • Cardiomyopathies DCM, HCM, ARVC
  • Valve defects (e.g. valvular aortic stenoses, aortic insufficiency, mitral insufficiency)
• Joint discussion of cases with experienced colleagues
• Participation in interdisciplinary discussions of selected cases in comparison with other imaging methods
• Practical training for the required analysis tools (LV function, perfusion,
• Signal intensity analysis, flow quantification)

Curriculum of the 1-month job shadowing for visiting physicians (level I)

• Supervised interpretation incl. evaluation of at least 30 cardiac MRIs
• Independent interpretation incl. evaluation of at least 30 cardiac MRIs

This course will familiarise you with the basics of cardiovascular MRI. Level I does not yet qualify you to perform independent MRI examinations but can be credited for level II.

Curriculum of the 3-month job shadowing for visiting physicians (level II)

• Supervised interpretation incl. evaluation of at least 100 cardiac MRIs
• Independent interpretation incl. evaluation of at least 100 cardiac MRIs
• All visiting physicians receive the software cmr42 free of charge for 6 months.

The structure of the courses for obtaining the level II certificate orients itself on the specifications of the SCMR and entitles you to develop your own cardiovascular examination program. Individual modules of this course can also be booked.
