Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR): Cardiac
MRI has become the most important imaging methods
in the field of cardiac diagnostics. Thanks to
standardised examination protocols and shorter
examination times, this method is going to be a
standard at all larger hospitals and medical practices.
A structured training provided by experienced users is
indispensible for the effective application of cardiac
CMR at qualified centres.
In association with the UTC (University Training Center), a cooperation between cardiologists/radiologists at the Charité and at the HELIOS clinics Berlin-Buch (Prof. B. Hamm, Prof. R. Dietz, Prof. J. Schulz-Menger), Circle performs standardised, clinically oriented CMR courses including courses for visiting physicians. The proceeds are almost entirely reinvested into training and research
Circle Institute: Circle Institute was founded in 2000
by four physicians (mainly at the Charité). Since
2001, Circle in cooperation with the UTC performs
the multidisciplinary program Training - the clinical
application of cardiovascular MRI in cooperation with
the Charité and the HELIOS clinics Berlin-Buch.
In 41 courses characterised by a very limited number
of places to guarantee an intensive training, more
than 700 participants received training so far.
In addition, the Circle Institute successfully certified more than 80 visiting physicians during 3 to 12 month visits. The fellowships are characterized by a dedicated progromm. The fellow is the only attendee one at his course-shift. That a allows an intensive training. All courses and visits by guest physicians (level I, level II and level III) are performed in line with the current recommendations of the association.
