CIRCLE INSTITUTE provides a central, high capacity server for storing image data.
Data security is ensured by using a secure site and storing backup copies at a second site.
Data may be transferred using storage media (e.g. CD/MOD) or, preferably, via Internet. CIRCLE INSTITUTE accordingly provides the required accounts on a high bandwidth sFTP server. This type of access is characterised by secure user authentication (password and key authentication). Data transfer is encoded. However, this method is still user-friendly. If necessary, the centres involved will receive specific instructions on web-based data transfer. We will also carry out software installation on site, if desired.
Data will be stored in systematic form on a central server and are accessible for analysis or other processing (e.g. pseudonymisation) within the local network.
The central image storing facility will be accessible at all times throughout the entire study with every access being recorded in the audit trail.
Upon completion of the study the image data will be stored on appropriate media (e.g. CD) as agreed with the study sponsor.
For each study, a database can be set up and data can be accessed any time for interim results. Each database will be tailored to the specific requirements of the particular study. If necessary, it is possible to import and integrate external data.
